hey everyone, so does the HOVERAir X1 really not need a remote? i was looking at some replacement propellers and propeller guards, and it seems like you just use your phone. that's actually kinda cool for quick shots. my only tiny complaint is sometimes the app can be a little slow to connect, but once it does, it's pretty solid.

I ordered the HOVERAir X1 self-flying camera a month ago, and it arrived within five business days, well-packaged. The unboxing experience was straightforward. Setup was easy; I charged the battery and downloaded the app. The camera's quality is surprisingly good for such a small device, capturing clear 2.7K video. I used it primarily for hiking, and the 'hover' and 'follow' modes worked consistently. Battery life is as advertised, around 10 minutes per charge, so having the extra battery from the combo was essential. It's very durable, I had one minor crash and it held up fine. Transferring footage to my phone was quick using the app. Customer support responded to a question I had about firmware updates within 24 hours. The main thing I'd suggest is perhaps a slightly longer flight time per battery, but that's a common drone limitation.

I got the HOVERAir X1 a few weeks ago for a trip and it was pretty cool. It's really easy to use, just toss it up and it goes. The videos I got were decent. It's super portable too, fit right in my bag. Shipping took about 6 days to get to me in California.
